My dog is a boxer/bulldog mix, he is 9 months old and still very playful, however he has become aggressive with other dogs in the neighborhood because he's tied up when he goes outside to do his business, and the other dogs attack him. He recently got out of the house and bit a neighbor child on the rear end, actually its more of a scratch (so the father says) but it broke the skin none the less. The police were called I suppose so the victim would have a police report in case we didn't pay the doctor bill. We have agreed to pay the doctor bills upon receipt; with that and the fact and normally our dog is kept inside I feel our family pet should not be quarentined. I could not bare to be away from my boy for 10 days, my problem is that I have lost the paperwork saying he has had his rabies shots but I know he has and even took him to get another one afterwards. I feel horrible for the child and have no problem paying his doctor bills but I don't know what will hapen to us.

This way DMV is satisfied because you have made your filing - and since your current company has not found out about your drunk driving offense - you are able to keep your current policy. Last week a minor - unlicensed male - put Escalade, his mother's vehicle, in reverse and ran into the front of my stopped Toyota Corolla. I called her insurance company, and mine too, the same day and made a report. It has been one week and after repeated attempts to call and then sending her a letter for a reply she still has not made any contact with either insurance carrier. I did not bother with a police report because last year, when the same kind of accident happened to me, I called the police and they came and told me they did not need to take a report and that we should just contact our insurance companies. This is an accident that happened on 4-20-2010 in northern California. What are my options?

I then think back to all the years I have been paying the insurance and building up my no claims and being the perfect driver with no claims despite having to pay the shocking premiums that young people have to pay and this makes me absolutely livid that my insurance goes up by 340 to 400 based on the fact that I was born in Spain and spent 1 year of my life there and the rest of the 23 years as British Citizen raised here. I am just wondering if I could get away with just going ahead and saying that I was a resident from Birth as I have a baby on the way and really wish that my premiums were a reasonable ammount for once or I should go through it and just demand that they bring the premiums down to the 615 like originally quoted! It just makes me really annoyed that they can get away with this kind of stuff and I really don't like the fact that I am having to pay higher premiums just for the sake of it. Any advice on this?

Does residency matter in determining auto insurance for a college student?

I'm a current college student in the middle of transferring schools and getting a new insurance policy. I have two schools in mind, one is 5 minutes from home in a suburban neighborhood and the other is 200 miles away in an urban city environment. Depending on where I attend, will this affect my new insurance policy? Will living at home going to school close-by have a lower insurance rate than going to school outta town and living by myself?
